Teens and churches making a Godly impact in our community. A spiritual journey experienced by the teens and a stronger relationship being built between the churches.
Izulu Orphan Projects
We support Izulu Orphan Projects which is a charity called by God to “care for orphans and widows in their distress.” (James1.27)
IOP’s main focus is to spread the word of God to the rural folk between Empangeni and Eshowe, through various projects. (Feeding the poor, paying school fees, school involvement, teaching crafts to widows, study groups, distribution of blankets, shoes, wheelchairs and various other items, vegetable gardens, health care & church services.)
Crossroads Teen Centre
Crossroads continues to impact the lives of teenagers through Christian-based recreational, social and educational programmes, projects and activities in a safe and stable environment. A lot of focus is put on during the year in assisting and preparing the matric students for tertiary education.
Empangeni Christian School
Empangeni Christian School is a Christian Independent School, which is accredited with the Department of Basic Education and Umalusi. It’s foundation being rooted in Victory Family Church. The school submits itself to the spiritual oversight of the Church’s authority.
The School is committed to the following principles and beliefs for Christian education:
– Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22v6)
– Parents are commanded to train their children in the ways of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6v6 – 9).
The School offers education from Grade RR to Grade 7 and embraces the whole local Christian community. The dedicated Christian educators at the school strive to educate the learners, through a biblical world view which is evidenced by a lifestyle of character, leadership, service, stewardship, and worship.
Our one common constant is that family, church and school should work together for the intellectual, moral and spiritual direction of the child.
MusaweNkosi was established in 2001 as a registered charity to help address the orphan problem in rural communities around Empangeni. They have 4 homes in Entoyeni currently housing 40 children and employ 20 people. Their projects extend to old age pensioners, feeding schemes, education programmes, home visits and spiritual education. They have supported 3 through theological training and have been involved in a number of Sunday Schools, churches and holiday clubs.
Focus on the Family
Focus on the Family is a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. We provide help and resources for couples to build healthy marriages that reflect God’s design, and for parents to raise their children according to morals and values grounded in biblical principles.

Living Life Pregnancy Centre
Living Life Pregnancy Centre is a result of a dream I had, in which I believe God spoke to me about helping young girls/women who find themselves in a pregnancy crisis. We offer on-going emotional support, mentoring and counselling. We equip the women with information to enable them to make an informed decision regarding their pregnancy status and alternative options to abortion. (Psalm 102:18). If you require more information or would like to get involved, you are welcome to contact us.
The Lighthouse Project
Every Tuesday from 8am to 4pm we put up the Prayer Room tent on the corner of Commercial & Maxwell streets. We pray with & for the people of Empangeni. Please join us at any time during the day- stay for a while or just pop in for 10 minutes & say hi! See you there.
